The Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ (MCTC™) hosted two one day tournaments on Bone Lake June 8th followed by a one day qualifier on the Wapogasset Lake, Sunday the 9th of June. Although neither body of water muskie action was “on fire”, Bone Lake had that better weather and thus the better fishing results with two muskies over 34 inches registered, but Lake Wapogasset tournament coincided with an endless driving rain made for difficult fishing conditions and zero muskies over 34 inches.
The Muskie Country™ Bone Lake tournament started off promising with the first muskie being registered just twenty minutes into the contest at 6:20am when the team of Courtney Sell and Jordan Klingbeil scored on the biggest muskie of the day with a 38.75 incher. The next muskie would come eight hours later at 2:20pm when Matt Eiden and Clint Zack tallied a 38.25 inch fish.
The MCTC™ Bone Lake qualifying event's top two finishers were;
1st - Courtney Sell/Jordan Klingbeil
2nd - Matt Eiden/Clint Zack
Sunday's tournament on Wapogasset Lake wouldn't be a battle between the competitors and the mighty muskie, but between the anglers and the elements in the form of heavy driving rains that made the fishing extremely difficult at best. No muskies over 34 inches would be landed by any of the competitors although a high number of muskies under thirty four inches would be captured and released. The winners and the second place finishers of the Muskie Country™ Wapogasset Lake qualifiers was then determined by a draw.
The MCTC™ Wapogasset Lake qualifying event's top two finishers were;
1st - Jarod Leslie/John Korbel
2nd - Matt Eiden/Clint Zack
